CHIEF FUNCTIONARY MESSAGE

I am pleased to present the intervention of Swabhiman Samiti (SS), which is dedicated to promoting participation, inclusion, and gender mainstreaming. Our primary objective is to empower communities by enhancing their capacity to make choices and take action to combat poverty. We strongly believe that empowered individuals have the freedom to make informed decisions and pursue their goals confidently. We have witnessed this transformation through our work with Women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs), who have become self-sufficient and empowered to pursue their aspirations.

At SS, we are committed to upholding the values of transparency and accountability, and our development and rights-based approach builds pressure on duty-bearers to fulfill the rights of vulnerable and socially excluded groups. We have also developed sharper indicators of success to ensure evidence-based advocacy and strive towards using our resources efficiently and effectively. Our commitment to transparency and accountability is further demonstrated through our efforts to be more open in our work and reporting.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our colleagues, particularly those working on the front lines of our fight against poverty and injustice. Their courage and conviction have been critical in our progress and achievements in supporting marginalized communities to claim and exercise their rights.
